Mr. Flick is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lundy Flick, Julian. The couple has two children, Don, Jr. and Wendy Lee. Both are gradu- ates of Wyoming Seminary and The Pennsylvania State University. ‘Mr. Flick is on the staff of Wyo- ming Seminary where he teaches biology and coaches wrestling. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from Lycoming College and a mas- ters of education from West Chester University. Mrs. Flick is a first-grade teacher at the Westmoreland Elementary School. From June 8 to June 12, the scouts of Troop and Post 232, Dallas, had the opportunity to show their skill in a truly challenging “Super Activity’. On Saturday, June 8, the gear was assembled and, for the next four days, 14 teen aged Explorer Scouts and advisors canoed through the beautiful scenery of the upper Dela- ware. They camped on islands in the river, amidst a profusion of rarely seen birds and other wildlife. Their greatest excitement came in LCCC offers new course Residents of Northeastern Penn- sylvania will have an opportunity to prepare for a challenging career in telecommunications technology at Luzerne County Community Col- lege. : A new course of study leading to an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Telecommunications Technology, is scheduled to begin this fall, and will emphasize train- ing in current telecommunications industry practices through a combi- nation of theory, applied telecom- munications courses, and liberal arts studies. The growth of the telecommunica- tions industry in Northeastern Penn- sylvania has resulted in an increased need for trained individu- als who can assist in the operations and management of broadcast and closed circuit television systems, radio stations, cable systems, and other state-of-the-art transmission and reception facilities. In the summer of 1984, the scouts trained every other week- end and took a 30-mile trip on a less demanding stretch of the river in preparation for this trip.
