    Students honored
Eleven Dallas Intermediate School students recently were presented certificates for academic
achievement at an awards assembly. During the 1984 to 1985 school year the students had
maintained an A average. The students receiving this award were: Fourth grade: Eric Spear and
Eric Lehman; Fifth grade: Kelly Cleary, Megan Moran, Brian Jayne, Joseph Hudak, and Keith

Students from 10 area junior high schools participated recently in a ‘“Technology Career
Exploration’’ day at Penn State Wilkes-Barre. The program, sponsored by the Opportunities in
Technology grant project at the Lehman campus, allowed the students to explore their specific
areas of interest in several engineering technology fields. Penn State engineering faculty
conducted sessions which included demonstrations and hands-on experiences. Some of the
