With Joan Kingsbury LAST WEEKEND we spent a very relaxing weekend camping at Sunrise Lake in Nicholson. The campground was nice and quiet. The lake provided a place to fish, swim and ride paddle boats. On Sunday evening, a square dance was held. Bill and C= I are inexperi- 4 enced square |# dancers, to say the least, but I think by the end of the set, we got into the spirit of things. Enjoying the weekend with us were : Li Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sitar and family; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gardner and family; Mrs. Catherine Polacky. If any of you campers out there are interested, Sunrise Lake is only about 45 minutes away from Dallas. Just perfect for a weekend stay. : -0- EVERYONE KNOWS that the prettiest little girls live in the Back Mountain so it’s no surprise that Heather Anne Brody, daughter of Douglas and Millie Brody, Over- brook Avenue, was chosen Pennsyl- vania’s Little Miss at the America’s Little Miss Pageant in the 6 to 8 year old division. The pageant was held in Essington. Heather Anne was named most photogenic and won first place in the party dress and sportswear fo Heather Anne will represent 1985 nationals June 26 to June 30 in Louisville, Kentucky. Heather Anne has a sister, Laura, 3. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Weis, Dallas and Mr. and Mrs. George Brody, Noxen. The Cider Painters of America was founded in 1983 in Dallas, Penn- sylvnaia. It is a lighthearted organi- zation dedicated to the fine art of painting miniatures, enjoying a bit of liquid refreshment and the com- panionship and encouragement of fellow painters. The group’s goals are to create miniature paintings of excellence, to encourage public awareness and enjoyment of minia- ture paintings and to include at least one member from every state in the nation. Membership to the group is by invitation only. Volunteers serve as regional coor- dinators since there are no officers in the organization.
