WITH THE END OF THE
SCHOOL YEAR approaching, Scout
troops will be holding their court of
their scouting year.
Last week,
Junior Girl Scout
Troop 633 Shaver-
town, hosted their:
parents at a
lovely court of
awards ceremony
at. St. ‘Paul’s
Lutheran Church.
The girls
presented a short
skit on what Girl Scouting means to
them followed by a lovely tea. Many
thanks to Mrs. Karen Adams and
her assistant leader Linda for
giving the girls a wonderful, fun-
filled year.
Many people don’t realize the
time and effort leaders must put in
to make a troop year interesting
and exciting. Special thanks to all
scout leaders for their hard work
and concern for young people.
GATE OF HEAVEN SCHOOL
CAFETERIA is operated by a won-
derful staff of three women, Bar-
bara Hagen, Betty Dowd and Carol
Yatsko. As anyone who volunters in
the cafeteria knows, they are very
appreciative of any time given.
Recently to show their apprecia-
tion for all the volunteers, the cafet-
eria staff treated us to a gourmet
luncheon, Turkey Wellington, green
beans almondine, sweet potatoes,
tossed salad, strawberry cake, blue-
berry pie, and lemon squares. The
food was absolutely delicious.
So, a special thank you to the
cafeteria staff, Sister Davida and
Father Cusick for a marvelous
luncheon.

GATE OF HEAVEN EIGHTH
GRADE presented a very entertain-
ing Talent Show last Wednesday.
The Talent Show was held in con-
junction with the final Parent-
Teacher Guild meeting for the
school year.
The fairy tale Cinderella, was
presented in avery unusual, hilar-
ious fashion. Other acts include a
vaudeville-likedialogue on baseball,
a lip sinc and ‘imitation of Michael
Jackson that was excellent, several
commercials that had a good douse
of humor added to them. The class
sang for the first time the recently
composed Gate of Heaven Alma
Mater, and their fantastic rendition
of We Are The World.
I have just one comment,
BRAVO!
