Benediction was given by Mrs. Rita Brody, msn ACS Club meets on Tuesdays The New Voice Club, part of the Service and Rehabilitation program of the American Cancer Society, was formed in 1969 to offer speech training and moral support to those who ‘have lost their voice due to cancer. The group meets on the first Tuesday of the month at the V.A. Hospital. A business meeting is followed by an educational program and speech therapy which includes learning a new art of breathing. Ann Zaborney, speech pathologist, is elub advisor. TOUCH, Today Our Understand- ing Of Cancer is Hope, is another service program sponsored by the A.C.S. The TOUCH group reaches out to cancer patients and their is to help patients cope with the phychosocial and emotional prob- lems of the disease. Doris McKane, Dallas, is chairman of this group. These programs are offered free of charge. Funding is through the annual Crusade which will be held April 19-28.
