The Meadows Nursing Center
Auxiliary met recently at the center
in Dallas.
Director of Volunteer Services,
Marilyn Gregorski, spoke to the
group about the many facets of the
volunteer program at the center and
outlined some specific volunteer
opportunities available now and
gave some suggestions for one in
one volunteer-resident involvement.
The auxiliary is planning two
exciting projects in the near future,
both of which will involve the entire
community and for which we solicit
your interest and participation.
On April 28, the auxiliary will
sponsor an Open House at the
center from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
We would like you to see the
center in operation - meet the resi-
dents, staff and volunteers, tour the
entire facility, see a video film of
the day to day operation of the
center, made by Mr. Anees Bar-
akat. Refreshments will be served.
If you have not visited your new
neighbors at the Meadows Nursing
Center, please put the date on your
calendar and plan to do so. You'll
be glad you did.
The one thing that the auxiliary
would like to add to the facility at
the Meadows Nursing Center as
their special contribution to the life
or residents there is a chapel-medi-
tation room.
To raise funds for this special
project, the auxiliary will sponsor a
flea market on the grounds of the
center on June 15, with a rain date
of June 22. Six foot table spaces will

be rented for $6.00 per space: to local
residents, organizations, etc., and

special contribution to the success
of this project.

for contributions of home-made
pies, baked goods, jellies, pickles,
etc., bric-a-brac and collectibles and
craft items for the tables they will
man.
For information on donating or
arranging for a table, or to donate
