The event is being co-sponsored by Custom Man- agement Corporation, Kingston and Calmar Specialties, Inc., Luzerne. Set for Saturday, May 11, at 10 a.m. from the school’s Nesbitt Field, corner of Hoyt and Chestnut Streets, the wheel measured course will go to the Lower School campus in Forty Fort and return for the 6.2 miles. Open to the public, the course will be marked each mile, with complete traffic control. More than 70 awards will be given in 18 different age divisions with special medals to the top three male and female alumni and top male and female student finishers. Run- ners of all ages are eligibile to participate. An entry fee of $4 per person for advance registration, or $5 the day of the race, will be charged. T-shirts will be given to all runners. Regis- tration forms can be obtained from the Wyoming Seminary Alumni Office, 288-9574. Tryouts for anyone eligible to play in the major leagues of the Harveys Lake Little League will be held Saturday, April 13, at 4 p.m. at the Little League field. Starting his 20th year as head coach is John Dorish of Kingston, who is director of athletics at the college. The Monarchs are coming off a 10-9 campaign and Dorish feels if his pitching staff shows improve- ment the King’s team can post another winning record. Home games and practice ses- sions will be held at Hilldale Park in Plains Township, four miles from the college campus. King’s is scheduled to play 18 games at home and 12 contests on the road. The season will open March 23 at Drew University and will end May 5 at home against New Jersey Tech. While in the majority of the oppo- nents are members of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), several regional state universities are fea- tured. Local teams on the schedule are Wilkes, Scranton and College Miser- icordia.
