tal Auxiliaries, will officially
assume her duties at the spring
~ Board of Directors meeting which
will be held at the Berwick Hospital
on Wednesday, April 10.
Registration will begin at 10 a.m.
Reservations should be sent to Mrs.
Robert Hunter, Auxiliary President,
c-0 Berwick Hospital, 16th Street,
Berwick, PA 18603, by March 30.
N.E.P.A.H.A. consists of 24 hospi-
tal auxiliaries located in a 12 county
area of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

PVT. SCOTT A. MULLEN, son of
Colleen M. and Harold T. Carver, of
Rural Route 1, Sweet Valley, has
graduated from the U.S. Army
Nuclear Biological Chemcial (NBC)
specialist course at Fort McClellan,
Ala.
The eight-week course covered
NBC reconnaissance, weapons
training and use of decontamination
equipment.
Also covered were chemical and
biological defense, radiological
defense and how to operate instru-
ments to measure radiation.
He is a 1984 graduate of West Side
Area Vocational and Technical High
School, Pringle.

Penn Argyl, announce the birth of a
daughter, Jamie Leighton, March 22
in St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem.
Mrs. Sulewski is the former
Karen Brokenshire, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Leon Brokenshire, 66 Dav-
enport St. She is employed as a
registered nurse at Easton Hospital,
Easton.
Mr. Sulewski is the son of Mr. and
St., Nanticoke. He is employed as
-an accountant at Shawnee Develop-
ment, Shawnee on the Delaware.

JANET E. MERCINCAVAGE has
been named staff accounting man-
ager for Commonwealth Telephone
Company, a subsidiary of Common-
~ wealth Telephone Enterprises, Inc.
Sam Rostock, Commonwealth’s
manager of accounting services,
said Mercincavage will have overall
responsibility for the company’s
staff accounting group which pro-
vides financial reporting and techni-
cal support services to all operating
accounting departments.
Mercincavage is a Certified
Employee honored
and a member of the Pennsylvania
and American Institutes of Certified
Public Accountants. She is also a
member of Delta epsiolon Sigma, an
honorary teaching organization. For
the past two years she has earned
notice as an Outstanding Young
Woman in America.

ELIZABETH KINTER, of
Lehman, payroll supervisor for
Custom Management Corporation
(CMC) has successfully completed
the Payroll Professional Certifica-
tion Examination, sponsored by the
American Payroll Association
(APA) of New York.
Applicants are tested in the areas
of the fundamental practice of pay-
roll and accounting; payroll sys-
tems; and payroll management,
and must achieve a score of 111 out
of a possible 185. Kinter was cited
for her outstanding performance in
all three areas of the examination.
A member of CMC’s management
staff since 1979, Kinter is a graduate
of St. Lawrence University in
Canton, NY, and holds a Bachelor of
Arts Degree in English. She is
currently pursuing further study in
Business. Management at Penn
State University.
