Chicago couple
has ‘boat-iful’
ceremony
CHICAGO — Reminiscent of the
'60s, when couples married in
hayfields, on skates or underwater in
large numbers, this Chicago couple
(at right) decided on a wedding
ceremony afloat.
Minister Christopher Eldredge
married Maureen Lunch and Robert
Wott off the Chicago shoreline last
June aboard the 54-foot Carol-Lee.
Some of the 250 invited guests
view the proceedings from a flotilla
anchored along a breakwater.

NEW YORK — The children of the,
leaders of two Hasidic sects married
under a wedding canopy in the
Swi center court (at left) of the U.S.
Tennis Center in New York.
Four thousand followers witnessed
the historic marriage.
Mendel Twersky of the Skviras
sect married Chave Hager, daughter
of Rabbi Mordechai Hager of the
Viznitz sect.
Tiny Tim sings
at TV wedding
PHILADELPHIA — Newlyweds
Thomas Norris, 42, and his bride,
Diane Barker, 27, both of
Wilmington, Del., share a kiss (at
right) while being serenaded by
entertainer Tiny Tim.
The musical interlude followed their
wedding before a live television
audience in Philadelphia last July.
