DEBBIE LASECKI is the daugh-
i Claude Street, Dallas. Debbie is a
i member of the strutter squad and
tthe track team. She is also a
member of the 4-H club. In her free
{time, Debbie enjoys riding horses,
(running, drawing and being with
‘her friends. After graduation,
: Debbie plans to attend Wilson Col-
{lege in Chambersburg to duo major
in pre-veterinarian medicine and
\equine training and teaching.

‘Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Luksic of
‘East Franklin Street in Shavertown.
Beth is a member of the newspaper
staff, the yearbook staff and the
strutter squad. She is also a statisti-
cian for the boys basketball team.
After graduation, Beth will attend
Penn State Main Campus to major
in something to do with writing.

JAMES MARTIN is the son of Mr.
James Martin of Roushey Street in
Shavertown. In his free time, Jim
enjoys playing basketball and foot-
ball. He also enjoys hunting, fishing
and skiing. After graduation, Jim
plans to attend Penn State Wilkes-
Barre campus to major in mechani-
cal engineering.

MATT PRETKO is the son of Mr.
Joe Pretko of North Lakeside Drive
in Dallas. Matt is a member o both
the football and weightlifting teams.
He is presently employed at Weis
Market in Dallas. In his free time,
Matt enjoys skiing, hunting, and
fishing. After graduation, Matt
hopes to attend East Stroudsburg
College, but is undecided on a
major.

LINDA TUZINSKI is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John Tuzinski of
Shade Tree Road in Shavertown.
Linda is a member of the Senior
Committee. In her free time, Linda
is a volunteer for the Red Cross.
She also enjoys skiing, listening to
Jackson Browne and The Eagles,
and spending time with her boy-
friend Bill. After graduation, Linda
will attend King’s College to major
in Computer Science.

daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip
Hitchings of Trucksville. Carrie is a
part-time employee with Burger
King and in her free time she enjoys

being measured for caps and gowns
for their graduation ceremony
which will take place June 2. There
are 27 students in the class of 1985.

ING will take place sometime this
week. Behavior in the classrooms
will be one of the topics discussed.
Some new rules will be formulated.

MRS. HILLER’S ART HISTORY
CLASS is studying the Great Mas-
ters of the Renaissance. Several
weeks ago Father Langan presented
to the class slices from his trip to
Greece. The class and Mrs. Hiller
are making plans for a trip to the
Philadelphia Art Museum which
will take place in the Spring.

THE SIXTH, SEVENTH AND
EIGHTH GRADES will soon be
participating in a. spelling bee. The
contest is being run by Mrs. Rutko-
ski and mr. Hrycyk, two teachers at
the school. The words will be chosen
Donna Greger
by both teachers from the diction-
ary and the students ordinary
vocabulary.

LAST WEDNESDAY, Gate of
Heaven Gators played St. Leo’s.
Both the varsity and junior varsity
lost, but our team is improving.
Let’s hope they win a few more
games.

ON SUNDAY, FEB. 17, Gate of
Heaven held a skating party at
Bonomo’s Skating Rink. The pro-
ceeds went toward expenses for the
Student Council. Almost $100 was
earned.

Rachel Schall is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Daniel Schall. She lives on
Pine Crest Drive in Dallas. Rachel
is 14 years old. Rachel’s favorite
subject is science, because it ‘is
going to help her when she is older.
She would like to be a veterinarian.
She is undecided about which high
school she is going to attend next
fall. Rachel enjoys soccer, skiing,
and sailing. Her hobbies are art and
playing the piano. Her favorite
musicians are Madonna and Duran-
Duran.
Dr. Thomas W. Cypher, principal
of the Dallas Junior-Senior High
Schools, announces the senior high
school’s first nine weeks honor roll.
The honor roll is determined by
the following: High Honors - 4.0 -
Must carry all A’s; 1st Honors - 3.4
and above; 2nd Honors - 2.8 to 3.3.
Students must carry five major
subjefts, a major subject is one that
meets five times a week. Students
can only have one ‘‘C’’ grade, they
cannot carry a “D” or an “F”’.
