Over 40 members of the Meadows Auxiliary enjoyed an open door tour _ of The Meadows Nursing Center, ~ Dallas, at their recent meeting. ~ Two groups were conducted around the entire facility by ~ Thomas Sweeney, administrator, and Judy Harding, R.N. director of nursing services. Following the tour, refreshments were served and a short business meeting held. Plans were made for activities for the next few months. The February activity at the center will be a Bingo Party for the residents to be held on Feb. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. Lots of lovely prizes for the event were donated by auxiliary members at the meeting. Members who can attend are asked to be at the center at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 16 to begin transporting the residents. Other plans being formulated are an Open House at the Meadows Nursing Center to be hosted by the auxiliary on April 28, 2-56 p.m. and a Flea Market to be held on the grounds of the Nursing Center on Atty. Mark P. McNealis Peter J. Gill, formerly employed by the Wall Street law firm of Hawkins, Delafield and Wood in its municipal bond department, is a native of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre. Attorney Gill received his undergraduate degree maxima cum laude at King's College, Masters degrees from Columbia University and the University of Michiagan, a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from Fordham University. He is admitted to the practice of law in the States of Penn- sylvania, New York and New Jersey and is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Attorney Gill has joined the corporate department of Rosenn, Jenkins & Greenwald. Mark P. McNealis, a Nanticoke area resident, is a cum laude graduate of King's College. At King's Col- lege, Attorney McNealis was a member of the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Honor Society. In addition to receiving his law degree at the Temple University law school, he participated in the comparative law sum- mer study program at the Law School of Athens University, Greece. He has been admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and has joined the real estate department of Rosenn, Jenkins & Greenwald. Michael T. Savitsky, a native of the Minooka sec- tion of Scranton, is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Scranton and was named a member of the National Political Science Honor Society, the National & International Social Science Honor Socie- ties and the International History Honor Society. At- torney Savitsky is a graduate of the Duquesne University School of Law and a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. He has been admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and has joined the litigation department of Rosenn, Jenkins & Greenwald. June 15. The auxiliary is also planning a bi-montly meeting for those active volunteers who work and cannot attend the daytime meetings. Suggestions for a suitable evening will be considered and the first evening meeting held in March. The next meeting of the Auxiliary will be Monday, March 4, at 10 a.m. at the CommunityRoom of the Meadows Apartments. Miss Mulhern, a nurse at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, is a graduate of the Luzerne County Community College Nursing School and currently attends Wilkes Col- lege. Miss Mulhern has been a volunteer for the Cancer Society for several years. In her role as Nurse of Hope, whe will represent the American Cancer Society in public and professional education, fund-raising, and patient services throughout the area. Her message will also seek to dispel myths and fears about cancer and bring hope through education to those who have cancer. The runner-up in the competition is Linda Mary Domanosky, R.N., of Forty-Fort. Other contestants were Nancy Novitski of Kingston and Mary Ann Wargo of McAdoo. Terry Mulhern will reign as Nurse of Hope throughout 1985 as the Wyoming Valley representative, and she will compete in the Penn- sylvania’s Nurse of Hope Program in April. Kiwanis cited e SSI Member: Mr. and Mrs. Ted Cobleigh will be celebrating their 45th anniversary Feb. 28. Mrs. Cobleigh is the former Marguerite (Peg) Ide, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Ide. Ted is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Cobleigh. The Cobleighs live in Troy, Pa. and have two sons, Jerry and Donald. Jerry and his wife, Sylvia, live in Chesapeake, Val and have a daughter Lorrie, and son Scott. Donald and his wife, Beth, live in Rummerfield, Pa. : Ted is retired after 33% years as an Engineer on the Penn Central and Conrail Railroad. He is now a Supervisor of Armenia Twp. Peg is retired after 25% years as bookkeeper for North Penn Gas Co.
