Bill Bearde and T. Willy Cadwa-
lader combined for 41 points to lead
the Lake-Lehman boys basketball
team to an 88-45 romp over West
Side Tech last Tuesday night at the
Titans court.
The Black Knights took a first
half 50-17 lead over the Titans with
the first and second periods. They
led the team to a 23-5 score at the
end of the first period and spurred
them to a 27-12 second period.
Bearde put in nine goals from the
playing court and went seven-for-
eight from the free stripe while
Cadwalader put seven shots through
the nets from the field and went
two-for-two from the charity stripe.

Area last Friday was postponed due

The Grenadiers of GAR handed
the Dallas Mountaineers their first
loss of the second half last Tuesday
when they turned on the heat in the
first seven minutes of the final
period to outscore Dallas 10-4 and
break open a tight game that, to
that point, appeared it would be a
repeat of the first half contest.
The Mountaineers again ran into
GAR’s Bill Callahan who put in
eight of his game high 18 points in
the fourth period to lead GAR to
their 47-35 win. Callahan also led his
team in rebounding with 12 off the
boards while Dallas Mark Farrell,
Division 2’s third leading scorer,
was held to only eight points.
Sophomore Greg Skrepenak
played outstanding inside defense
and offense for GAR and collected
15 points.
Dallas led for a short time in the
Teener League
to meet Monday
Members of the Back Mt. Teener
League, a division of Back Mt.
Baseball, Inc. will meet on Monday,
Feb. 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the Dallas
American Legion.
All managers, coaches, and inter-
ested volunteers are asked to attend
this most important meeting. Man-
agers and coaches are needed in the
13 year old league and any inter-
meeting.

rallied in the closing seconds of the
first half and in the opening of the
second half, scoring seven consecu-
tive points, five at the end of the
first half and the first two in the
