The third grade used the letter writing skills they learned in class to write the letters for the first grade. The first grade students dis- cussed things to put into their let- tersy before the two classes joined ef . : The children then mailed their letters to Santa at the North Pole who, after reading them, felt they were worth sharing with readers of The Dallas Post. Santa sent these letters to The Dallas Post in hopes they would be published after he made his rounds on Christmas eve. The children’s letters appear here exactly as they were written. Ear Phones, Battary, legos, toolbox, Noxen woman killed Deborah Barbacci, 23, of Box 91A, Noxen, was fatally injured in a two- car crash Thursday afternoon on Route 115 in Bear Creek Township. Mrs. Barbacci was a passenger in a Toyota Celica, driven by her husband, Dwight, 27. Mr. Barbacci is a physical education teacher as well as an assistant football, base- ball and wrestling coach at Lake- Lehman High School. The Barbacci vehicle was travel- ing north on Route 115, about one- half mile south of Forest Park when it skidded out of control and into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Douglas Hendershot, 17, of 15 Meadow Run Road, Wilkes-Barre. The accident occurred at approxi- mately 2:30 p.m. on the slushy highway. The Noxen couple, who were mar- ried in May, 1983, were returning from Easton where they had spent the Christmas holiday with Mrs. Barbacci’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Miller of Easton. Mrs. Barbacci was pronounced dead at 3:40 p.m. at NPW Medical Center by Luzerne County Corner Dr. George Hudock, assisted by county Chief Deputy Coroner Joseph Shaver. Death was attributed to multiple injuries.
