    Miliauskas honored
“John Miliauskas, Director of the widely accalimed Lake-Lehman Band, is pictured above with
“Mr. Thomas Williams, school board representative and Mr. John Zaleskas, high school principal
‘Mr. Williams presented Mr. Miliauskas with a plague during a school board meeting in
“recognition of the band's outstanding achievements. The Lake-Lehman High School Band
recently won both the State Cavalcade and the Atlantic Coast competitions. These honors are
the culmination of long hours of practice and a dedication to excellence The plaque is a symbol
-of gratitude from the school to Mr. Miliauskas and all the members of the band for a job well

Daniel Pennick, Chairman of the
Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board,
today announced that beginning
January 1, 1985, the LCB will no
longer issue photo identification
cards, commonly known as “LCB
cards.”
Pennick explained that LCB cards
will be replaced by Department of
Transportation photo-driver’s licen-
ses or non-driver’s photo identifica-
tion cards, as acceptable proof-of-
age documents in LCB licensed
establishments as of January 1st.
All Adult Identification Cards (AID)
previously issued by the LCB will
continue to serve as proof-of-age as
well.
The change is a result of Act 76,
1980, which created the photo
driver’s license, along with the

verted to photo I.D. by the end of
1984. Pennsylvania residents who do
not drive may receive a photo
identification card for a $5 fee at the
D.O.T. camera stations.
Donald Krafsig, Director of
Bureau of Licensing, said the first
Adult Identification Card was issued
on October 24, 1961. Since them over
one million LCB cards have been
issued free of charge.
Residents hold
holiday party
The residents of the Meadows
Apartments held their annual tree
trimming party on November: 29
with all residents participating.
Mr. George McCutcheon, repre-
senting the Kiwanis Club assisted.
With the tree all trimmed, the
lights turned on, and the train
operating, the Meadow Larks led in
the singing of Christmas carols.
Refreshments were served con-
§ 1g of punch, tea, coffee and
cookies.
