MRS. HILLER’S SEVENTH
GRADE ART HISTORY CLASS
enjoyed Father Langan’s slides of
Greece which he presented to the
class on Wednesday. Father
explained the slides which he
brought from his trip to this ancient
island ‘last summer. The class is
presently studying Greek architec-
ture.

THE SIXTH GRADERS are plan-
ning a field trip by bus to watch the
taping of a Hatchy Milatchy show
and to tour the facilities of WNEP-
TV studio on Thursday, Dec. 13.

FATHER MARCINKO, Principal
and Sister de Sales, counselor, from
Bishop O’Reilly High School will be
held at Gate of Heaven on Tuesday
at 9 a.m. to acquaint the eighth
graders with the academic, sports,
and social activities of their school.
Several of the class of ’85 will be
attending O’Reilly next year.

DENTS at Gate of Heaven are very
grateful to the Parent-Teachers
Guild for the beautiful venetian
blinds that were recently installed
in the library, and for the donation
of 16 new books for circulation.

EACH CLASS is planning a
Christmas party which will be held
before vacation begins. Refresh-
ments will be served and gifts
exchanged among the class mem-
bers. i

ON WEDNESDAY, DEC. 19 at
7:30 p.m. the first four grades with
the help of a few older students, will
present their Christmas play, “The
Small One”. The children have been
carefully practicing their parts and
carols, and they hope to bring the
joy of Christmas to all those who
attend. Admission is free.

A VOCATION DAY PROGRAM
will be held for grades 5-8 on Dec.
12. It will be conducted by" Sister
Dorothy Hagen and Sister Rose-
mary Green. The nuns will. visit the
students on a room-to-room basis.
THE BASKETBALL TEAMS. are
off to a good start this season with
new hoops and stands in the gym.
Last Wednesday the Gators played
Holy Trinity.

Debra Kindler, is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kindler,
Chase Road, Chase. Debra’s favor-
ite subject is studying biology. She
seeks a career in nursing when she
is older. Next year, she is going to
go to Lehman High School. Debra
enjoys swimming and playing
games. Her favorite song is ‘‘Let’s
Go Crazy”, and her favorite group
is Prince.
