are responsible for day-to-day
operation of the Dallas Senior Citi-
zens’ Center. I have asked them to
put in a few words, their thoughts
and aims for the coming months:

JANE HADY, DIRECTOR:
“I'd like to welcome all the people
who have come back to the Dallas
Senior Citizens Center since I've
become director.
“It sure is a joy to see old
acquaintances and make new ones.
My new job is to enlarge the mem-
bership and have an enlarged and
enjoyable ongoing program, includ-
ing arts, crafts, needlework, sten-
jlling, candlemaking, shuffleboard,
ool, pinochle, exercise, nutritious
programs and various=information
speakers.
All seniors are welcome.”
MARY VONDERHEID, ASSIST-
ANT DIRECTOR:
“I am happy to be elevated to
Assistant Director of the Dallas
Senior Citizens’ Center. I will be
happy to welcome your telephone
calls, asking questions and any
information or direction to our
center.
“You will hear my cheerful voice
asking, ‘May I take your reserva-
tion for lunch tomorrow?’
“Please grace us with your pres-
ence and visit us shortly.”

“I am Florence Owens, your new

be gathered at the Dallas Centr to
sell their wares on Thursday, Dec. 6
when a bake sale is conducted from

center.

Debbie Zurinski
joins Keystone
Keystone Business Products, Inc.,
announces the appointment of Debo-
rah L. Zurinski to the staff as Sales
Representative.
“Debbie will be covering the Wyo-
ming Valley territory as a 3M
mented Lou Morda, owner of Key-
stone Business Products.
Keystone Business Products, Inc.,
recently expanded in the Wilkes-
Barre area. An office has been
opened in the WARM building in
Avoca. Keystone Business Products,
Inc., is an authorized 3M dealer.
A graduate of College Misericor-
dia, Ms. Zurinski was the Member-
ship Development Manager of the
Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of
Commerce prior to joining the Key-
stone staff.
Currently she is very active in the
American Business Women’s Asso-
ciation as program chairperson. She
also serves on the communications
committee for the American Red
Cross.

CONGRATULATIONS TO JUDY
ANN FITCH, a truly lovely miss
who was named second runner up in
the 1985 Penna. Junior Miss State
Scholarship Finals. Judy was
awarded an $800 scholarship. A
senior at Dallas High School, Judy
took first place honors in the poise
and appearance preliminary compe-
tition. As winner of this competition
she was awarded a $300 scholarship.

DR. LEE WILLIAMES, Trucks-
ville, was recent recipient of the
Silver Beaver Award, the highest
honor an adult may earn in the Boy
Scouting program. Lee, a faculty
member at College Misericordia,
and his wife Fran, are both very
dedicated to the Scouting programs.
Their three children, Elizabeth, Lee
and David are all Scouts. Congratu-
lations, Lee for earning this great
honor.

COLLEGE MISERICORDIA
NURSING DEPARTMENT recently
hosted a reception to celebrate the
25th anniversary of the bachelor of
science in Nursing Program. More
than 150 people from local hospitals,
health care facilities and the com-
munity attended the reception.
Members of the nursing staff are

MR. AND MRS. EUGENE
BROBST, Trucksville, have
announced the engagement of their
daughter, Tauna Jean to Keith R.
Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. James
L. Sabol, Sr. Sweet Valley.
Miss Brobst is a graduate of
Dallas High School and Keystone
Junior College with an associate of
arts degree. She is employed by
Chrysler Credit Corporation,
Wilkes-Barre.
Mr. Thomas is a graduate of
Lake-Lehman High School. He is
employed by the Ertley Dealer-
ships, Kingston.
Tauna and Keith will be married
in the Trucksville United Methodist
Church, April 27, 1985.

Mrs. Williams is the former
Elaine Marie Cigarski, dughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cigarski,
Chase Road. Mr. Williams is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Williams, RD
1, Hunlock Creek.
Mrs. Williams is a graduate of
Lake-Lehman High School and is a
cum laude graduate of Luzerne
County Community College where
she earned a B.A. degree in Secre-
tarial Science and specialization in
Medical Office Assistance and Word
Processing.
Mr. Williams is a graduate of
Lake-Lehman High School and is a
magna cum laude graduate of Mes-
siah College where he earned a B.A.
degree in Bible and Mathematics
Education. He is a mathematics
instructor at Redland High School in
the West Shore School District.

Harvey performing the double ring

Mrs. Menzel is the former Sandra
Ann Gessor, daughter of Mrs. Ann
Gessor and the late Frank Gessor of
Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Menzel is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Menzel,
Applewood Manor, Dallas.
Mrs. Menzel is a graduate of
James R. Coughlin High School and
Luzerne County Community Col-
lege. ;
Mr. Menzel is a graduate of
Dallas High School and Penn State
University. He is employed as a
civil engineer by Bechtel Corpora-
tion in Woodstown, N.J.
Following a wedding trip to Nova
Scotia the couple is residing in
Woodstown.

married in St. Therese’s Church,
Shavertown with Rev. Joseph Sam-
mons performing the double ring
ceremony and celebrating the Nup-
tial Mass.
Mrs. Kleinhample is the former
Janet L. Davies, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. William D. Davies, Shav-
ertown. Mr. Kleinhample is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Klein-
hample, Pittsburgh.
The bride is a graduate of Dallas
High School and attended Clarion
University. Prior to the wedding she
was employed by Nabisco Brands,
Inc., Wilkes-Barre.
The bridegroom is a graduate of
Shaler High School, Pittsburgh and
Clarion University where he earned
a BS degree in Business Adminis-
tration. He is employed by Link, a
division of the Singer Corporation,
Binghamton, N.Y. as a subcontracts |
admininstrator.
Following a wedding trip to St..
Thomas, the Virgin Islands, the
Kleinhamples will reside in Bingh-
ampton, N.Y.
Wyoming Valley hospitals will
“practice” for a disaster when they
hold joint drills Thursday evening,
