The combined choirs of the Ide-
town and Lehman United Methodist
Churches will join together to
present a Christmas cantata enti-
tled “Love Came Down’’ on Sundya,
Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Idetown
United Methodist Church.
The music for the program has
been compiled by Bonnie Jean
Vaughn and will be directed by Mrs.
Shirley Mahle. The choir will be
accompanied by Mrs. Elaine St.
Clair and the Rev. Michael Sham-
bora, pastor of the churches, will
narrate the program.
There will be an organ prelude of
Christmas music, presented by Mrs.
Virginia Swanson, organist at Pres-
byterian Church of Dallas, which
will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Along with the music depicting
the birth of Christmas, some of the
youth of the churches will be re-
enacting the nativity in pantomime.
The public is welcome to attend.
A free-will offering will be taken at
the door.
Cynthia Stefanik, a senior music
therapy major at College Misericor-
dia, will present her senior recital,
Saturday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. in Walsh
Auditorium.
A pianist, Miss Stefanik will per-
form pieces by Bach, Brahmns,
inoff during her recital.
Miss Stefanik is a member of the
Misericordia Chamber Singers, and
the Music Therapy Club, serving as
its vice president for two years. She
has accompanied many Misericor-
dia music students at their recitals
annual Madrigal Dinner. :
She is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. G.R. Stefanik of London, Eng-
land.
