Vets clean up ‘The Veterans Club of Penn State Wilkes-Barre recently held its annual fall clean-up day. Club -members and other student volunteers cleaned litter from the area covering the Huntsville Dam to Lake-Lehman High School as well as from the 50-acre Penn State campus at Lehman. In addition, a Mass for alumni was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 130 S. Washington Ave. Rev. J.A. The event, which is open to the public, will feature a costume contest for which prizes will be awarded to the funniest, the scariest, and the most original costumes. Ron Dorris, disc jockey, and his light show will provide entertainment. Refreshments will be available. Admission is $1.00 for those wearing costumes, $2.00 for singles, $3.00 for couples.
