A big event will happen on Sunday
night, Sept. 2, when the Harveys
Lake Beach Association will have
its annual Mammoth Fireworks Dis-
play. This event attracts perhaps
the largest single event crowd in the
Back Mountain Area.
i The display is on Labor Day Eve,
} 3t Sunset Beach, and held in con-
{ junction with the Harveys Lake
} Yacht Club. It is a magnificent sight
to see the fireworks display over-
| head, while the sailboats are under-
| neath in their torchlight parade.
| The event attracts thousands of
i! peop-le who otherwise would not
visit Harveys lake or the Back
Mountain area.
The association hopes that you
a
annual public display. The associa-
tion bears the costs, with the assist-
ance of the Lake’s business commu-
nity, as a public service to residents
of the Lake and the entire Back
Mountain area.

‘“Kismet”’ is a fairy tale of old
Baghdad depicting the ever absorb-
ing strangeness and unpredictability
of human life. It is resplendent with
music adapted from Alexander Bor-
odin. Such wonderful tunes as ‘“Bau-
bles, Bangles & Beads’’, ‘And This
Is My Beloved”, and the hauntingly
beautiful ‘‘Stranger in Paradise’
