With the aid of Cadet Troop 642, under the leadership of Geri Wall, the Brownies are learning about safe procedures in many areas. Guest speakers for the program include: Jack Dodson and Carol Shelhamer from Commonwealth Telephone Co., who will speak on telephone safety; Fire Chief Bob Besecker from the Dallas Fire Co., who will speak on Fire Safety; Police Chief Carl Miers Girls of the year from the Dallas Township Police Department who will speak on “Lost and Found”; leaders Jackie Downend and Julie Roan who will speak on Basic First Aid and assist- ant leaders Diane Bryant and Karen Rittenhouse. Through guest speakers, crafts, games, home assignments and skits, the Brownies will be aware of how to function under some of the emergency situations that young children have to face in their homes and in today’s world.
