John Hagan, M.D., a specialist in
nose and, throat, will be the featured
speaker at the meeting of the Lake
Silkworth Area Lions Club sched-
uled for Tuesday, April 17, at 7 p.m.
at Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Church, Lake Silkworth. The meet-
ing will include members of both
the Kingston Township and Harveys
Lake Lions Clubs.
The title of Dr. Hagan’s presenta-
“Newer Methods of
Diagnosis and Treatment of Hear-
ing Loss in Children.” Dr. Hagan
will explain how hearing. loss can
often be prevented, reduced or elim-
prompt medical treatment.
Leonard Karas will preside at the
meeting.

The final concert of the Sinfonia
da Camera, under the direction of
Ferdinand Liva, will be held at St.
Stephen’s Church on Saturday, April
14 at 8 p.m. .
For this program, operatic
exerpts from some of the most
popular operas have been selected
and artists have been chosen for
their rendition. The group of guest
artists will include two lyrico spinto
sopranos, one mezzo Soprano, one
tenor and one bass baritone. Also,
the girls chorus from Wyoming
Seminary, prepared by John Vaida,
will sing the chamber flower song
from Aida.
Tickets for the performance will
be available at the door.
Nesbitt plans
A “Wound and Laceration Man-
agement Update” will be presented
on Thursday, April 12 at 11 a.m. as
part of Nesbitt Memorial Hospital's
Continuing Physician Education
Program. Speaking at the program
will be Earl Z. Browne, Jr., M.D.,
Professor of Surgery at Temple
University School of Medicine. The
lecture will be held in the classroom
of the Medical Arts Building next to
the hospital. :
Dr. Browne is Chief of Plastic
Surgery at Temple University
School of Medicine. He is also
Chairman of the Section of Plastic
and Reconstructive Surgery and
workshop
Surgery of the Hand at the Temple
University Health Science Center.
In addition Dr. Browne serves as
Director of the Plastic Surgery
Residency Program of Temple Uni-
versity Affiliated Hospitals.
A graduate of Tulane University,
Dr. Browne is certified by the
American Board of Surgery and the
American Board of Plastic Surgery.
He presently serves as Director of
the Temple Upper Extremity Center
and consultant to the Shriner’s Crip-
pled Childrens’ Hospital, both in
Philadelphia, and is Associate
Editor of the Journal of Hand Sur-
gery.
