LH Te a a Band participants Eight members of the Lake-Lehman High School Band have been selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Region IV Band Festival to be held at the Wyoming Area High School on March 1, 2, and 3. Concerts for the public will be presented on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. Host Director is Donald J. Butz. Lake-Lehman Band Director is John Miliauskas. Both George and Lori placed high enough in the festival to advance to the Region IV Chorus Festival to be held at Blue Ridge High School in New Milford. George placed first as a Tenor | and Lori placed seventh as a Soprano II. George, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Steltz of Sweet Valley, is a senior, while Lori, daughter of John F. Cragle of Sweet Valley, is a sophomore. Jane M. Morris, above seated, is choral director at Lake- Lehman High School. Book presented Members of College Misericordia’s Circle K Club and the Dallas Kiwanis recently presented a book entitled “The Wyoming Valley: An American Portrait” to the Sister Francesca McLaughlin Memorial Library at College Misericordia. The author, Edward F. Hanlon, Ph.D., was assistant professor of history at Misericordia from 1965 to 1969. He received his Ph.D. from Georgetown University in 1967, while teaching at College Misericordia.
