Administration Medical Cen-
ter. He is a graduate of Temple
University where he received
his Doctorate degree in Den-
tistry. He also holds a Masters
degree from Drexel University
in Bio Medical Science and a
Bachelor of Science degree
from King’s College in
} Biology.

mer Kathleen Pringle, and their

Kingston.

Volunteers at the Wyoming Valley
Chapter, A.R.C. is making an
appeal for volunteers to serve in
specific areas.
The Wyoming Valley Chapter is
always looking for more volun-
teers. However, the immediate
need is in these areas:
Blood Aides--(needed to serve at
the N.E. Pa. Regional Blood
Center Monday, Tuesday, Thur-
sday and especially Saturdays.)
Substitute Drivers--Must have a
good. driving; record and have a
current... Pa. .drivers.. license.
If you are interested or would
like more information, call Anne
Kelly, Director of Volunteers, at
823-7161 for an appointment.
Students go
to Districts
Dallas Senior High School will be
represented at the Pennsylvania
Music Educators’ Association
District 9 Chorus on February 16,
17 and 18 by the following
students:
Seniors--Paulette Niznik, and
Fredric Anderson; juniors-Lynn
Todd, and Elizabeth Morgan; and
sophomore-Carolyn Fagan.
This festival will be held at
Valley View High School with a
public concert on Saturday, at 2
p.m. The guest conductor is
Robert Herrema of Marywood
College. The students have been
preapring for this event since
qualifying at the end of October.
They will complete for placement
at regions on Thursday.
Florence H. Sherwood is Choral
Instructor at Dallas.
The Dallas Women of Kiwanis
held installation of new officers at
their January meeting at the
Castle Inn.
Installing officer, Patricia Luke,
charged each officer with their
official duties. Each officer was
then presented with a yellow rose,
trimmed with royal blue ribbons.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs.
James Kozemchak, Huntsville
Road, Dallas, who celebrated their
43rd = wedding anniversary
recently.
Mr. Kozemchak, son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Roman Kozemchak,
Dallas, is a well-known
photographer whose pictures
appeared in the Dallas Post for a
number of years. Prior to his
retirement, he was employed by
American Chain and Cable
Company.
Mrs. Kozemchak is the former
Ann Wasnick, daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. William Wasnick.
Ann and Jim were married in St.
Peter's and Paul's Ukrainian
Catholic Church, North River
Street, Wilkes-Barre: . nib
The Kezemchak’s daughter’
Elaine Kozemchak Roberts died
several years ago. They have two
sons: James, Wilkes-Barre and
David, Dallas. They also have five
gr andchi ldren.
A family gathering was held to
celebrate the occasion.

The Spring session of the Nesbitt
Memorial Hospital, Kingston,
candystriping program has begun.
Sixty four area teenagers are
volunteering to serve in various
hospital departments under the
direction of Mrs. Paula Denisco
and Mrs. Antoinette Denisco. Back
Mountain teens participating in
the program are Susan Luksic,
Dallas; Meredith Burke, Dallas
and Jennifer Gribble, Shavertown.

designated National Mental
Retardation Month. The Back Mt.
Police and Dallas Kiwanis will co-
sponsor a ham and egg breakfast
on Sunday, March 18, 9 a.m. to 1
p.m. sat the Dallas Senior High
School cafeteria for the benefit of
the Association for Retarded
Citizens of Luzerne County.
Tickets for the breakfast may be

of Courtdale who was recently
installed as worthy advisor of the
Dallas Assembly 144 Order of the
Rainbow Girls. Others installed

Community College where he
received an associate degree in
Social Studies. He also attended
Mansfield State College. Doug is
