Lake-Lehman on the winners’ home
court Feb. 3.
The Grenadiers, who sat on top of
a 15-12 lead at the end of the

will be on the road on Feb. 9 when
they travel to Hanover and will be

Ronda Hudzik, needing only 23
points to reachg the 1,000 point
plateau, scored 26 points on Feb. 3
and led the Lake-Lehman girls’
over GAR.
The Lady Knights took an 18-6
lead - after the first quarter and
never looked back as they grabbed
their first victory of the second
half. They now are 1-1 in second
half action.

Seton Catholic was successful on
only six of 23 free throw attempts
and the Dallas girls’ basketball
team ran to a.73-56 victory on Feb.

Seton, who lost four players due
to foul trouble, was led by Jackie
Higgins who drilled in 17 points.
Dallas, 2-0 in second half action,
received double-figure scoring from
four players. Kim Rollman was
high scorer for the winners with 16
points while Sheri Ciccarelli and
Cheryl Gavigan chipped in 15 and
14 markers in the winning efforts
and Karen Vloedman added 12.

The Dallas girls’ basketball
team held a51-50 lead with just 2:33
remaining but Margo Serafini and
Karen Monko combined for six
points in the final minutes to lift
Meyers to a 56-53 upset over
Dallas.
Serafini hit a short jumper to put
Meyers up, 51-51. Monko hit one
foul shot at the 41 second mark to
put the Lady Mohawks on top for
good. Serafini then sank two foul
shots with just 29 seconds to go.
Dallas had three players in the
double figures as Cheryl Gavigan
finished with 20 points, Kim
Rollman chalked up 12 points and
Sheri Ciccarelli, pumped in 10.

ing home to host Lake-Lehman on

Lake-Lehman’s Chris Van Gorder
pinned Dale David of Coughlin with
just 15 seconds remaining in the
match and the Black Knights cap-
tured a 31-25 victory before more
than 2,000 fans at the Coughlin
gym.

The Dallas boys’ basketball team
ran to a 22-11 lead after one quarter
and never looked back as it went on
to hand Seton Catholic an 81-43 loss
at the Pittston gym.
The Mountaineers outscored their
hosts, 22-10 in the third quarter to
ice the victory.
