Employees honored
Two employees of the Dallas Post Office were recently presented with a special achievement
award. The award is given to employees who perform in a manner than exceeds the usual work

Frank M. McGuire, 87, of 140 E.
Center St., Shavertown, died Jan. 22
in the Hazleton Nursing and Geria-
tric Center, following a brief illness.
Surviving are his wife, the former
Grace Chesley; daughters, Mrs.
Grace Terbush and Mrs. Virginia
Schramm, both of Drums; sister
and brothers, Mrs. Margaret Dolan
and Henry, both of Lynn, Mass.;
William, Danvers, Mass.; seven
grandchildren; 14-great-grandchil-
dren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was
celebrated Jan. 26 in St. Therese
Church, Shavertown, by the Rev.
Joseph Sammons. Interment, Mount
Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
ROSE ROSNICK
Mrs. Rose G. Rosnick, 62, of 177
Woodbine Road, Midway manor,
Trucksville, died suddenly Jan. 22 in
Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kings-
ton, after being stricken ill at her
home.
Surviving are her husband, John
A.; daughters, Miss Mariann, Alex-
andria, Va.; Mrs. Janet Evans,
Luzerne; brother, James A., Tusca-
lusa, Ala.; sister, Miss Margaret
Grow, Pittston; two grandchildren.

Christian Burial in Sacred Heart

Irene W. Snyder, 77, of West
Dallas, died Jan. 29 in Wilkes-Barre
General Hospital where she had
been a patient for one month.
Her husband, Harry, died in
August, 1970. Surviving are sisters,
