With the reputation for quali*y and efficiency, Native Textiles in
Dallas is one of the Back Mountain’s prime industries. The Dallas
plant is a division of Carisbrook Industries.
Presently, Native Textiles employes 155 people. Although many
are Back Mountain residents, other employees are from surroun-
ding towns. It is interesting to note, the average age is 42, the
average length of service is 15 years and 27 percent of the people
employed at Native Textiles are women. The annual payroll at the
plantis $2,782,000.
