been in and around the greater Wyoming
Valley for over 75 years, chartered in 1908
as the Wilkes-Barre Motor Club, later
changing its name to Wyoming Valley
Motor Club and, finally, to its present
name with a merger being consummated
giving The Valley Club service and
membership rights’ in Columbia and
Montour Counties.
Beginning with a handful of interested
motorists over the years, the local AAA
club has grown in spectacular leaps and
offices in Wilkes-Barre and Bloomsburg.
The AAA is the largest member service
organization offering travel related ser-
vices. In addition, the club has a travel
agency through which AAA members and
non-members can plan a trip or vacation
anywhere in the world whether by air, sea
or rail and select from a host of group
travel movements.
Needless to say with 75 years invested in
member services, AAA is here to stay.
