Chapter I Reading and Math staff recently attended a microcomputer conference in Her- shey. This three-day conference, which emphasized the applications of com- puter technology to remedial educa- tion, was designed to increase the awareness of teachers and adminis- trators concerning the potential value of computers in the field of education. The conference included general and small group sessions for both the technological novice and the skilled computer user. Additionally, ‘program sharing” tricts to demonstrate how they have incorporated computers into their curriculums. Special ‘hands on’’ sessions were also held in which conferees were given the opportunity for some practical experiences with different brands of micro-computers. E.C.I.LA.
