Thomas F. Feeney. Principal of West Side Tech, has
announced the names of those students who will be
placed on the Honor Roll for the first marking period.
To attain Highest Honors, a student must have a 3.75
to 4.0 average in all courses. To be considered for
High Honors, a student must have an average of 3.5 to
3.74 provided that no grade is lower than a 2 in all
courses. To achieve Honors, a student must attain an
average of 3.0 to 3.4.
Seven students attained a perfect 4.0 average for the
first marking period. They are: Shirley Brennan,
Thelma Brighthaupt, Enrico Cacciapuoti and Jill
(Coutts. all seniors: Jennifer Brighthaupt, Alan
L.ugosky and Jackie Sobeck, juniors.

Representatives from the Lake-
Lehman School District and
E.C.I.LA. Chapter I Reading and
Math staff recently attended a
microcomputer conference in Her-
shey.
This three-day conference, which
emphasized the applications of com-
puter technology to remedial educa-
tion, was designed to increase the
awareness of teachers and adminis-
trators concerning the potential
value of computers in the field of
education.
The conference included general
and small group sessions for both
the technological novice and the
skilled computer user.
Additionally, ‘program sharing”
tricts to demonstrate how they have
incorporated computers into their
curriculums.
Special ‘hands on’’ sessions were
also held in which conferees were
given the opportunity for some
practical experiences with different
brands of micro-computers.
