CONGRATULATIONS to Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph H. Marshall, RD 3,
Dallas, who celebrated their 58th
wedding anniversary recently. The
Marshalls were married Nov. 26,
1925 in Plains Methodist Church.
Their attendants were Martha Mar-
shall and Dr. E.R. Jenkins.
The Marshalls have two daugh-
ters, Marilyn Pearson, of Colorado;
and Lois Baumgartner, of Edwards-
ville. They also have five grandchil-
dren and six great grandchildren.
Mr. Marshall is a retired insur-
ance broker.
To celebrate their anniversary,
the Marshalls were guests at a
KINGSBURY
WESTMORELAND ELEMEN-
TARY SCHOOL was bustling with
activity last week. Santa’s Secret
Workshop was held by the PTO so
that students could purchase Christ-
mas gifts for their parents, brothers
and sisters. This activity is not a
money maker, but is a service
project for the children. Ann Bri-
nola was chairperson and did a fine
job organizing and operating the
Store. As president of ‘the West-
moreland PTO, I would like to
extend special thanks to the parents
who volunteered their time and to
the teachers who were marvelous
with the children.

BEST WISHES to Mr. and Mrs.
John E. Dukes, Chase Road, Shav-
ertown, who celebrated their 45th
wedding anniversary Oct. 29. The
Dukes were married ron the 25th
anniversary of Mrs. Dukes’ parents
by the Rev. Charles Wolfe, pastor of
the First Evangelical Church, Dana
Street, Wilkes-Barre. Mrs. Dukes’
parents Stanley O. and Elizabeth
Davis Brink were their attendants.
The couple has two children, Alan
Robert, Harveys Lake; and Betsy
Ann Aston, Dallas. They have three
grandchildren, Nancy Lynn and
Noreen Lee Dukes and Jed Lloyd
Aston.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Dukes are
retired.

Following a wedding trip to
Hawaii, the Coombs are residing in
Harveys Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. Lord were married
in St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown
with Father Joseph Sammons per-
forming the double-ring ceremony
and celebrating the Nuptial Mass.
Following a wedding trip to Aruba
and Martha’s Vineyard, the Lord’s
are residing at R.D. Tunkhannock.

Scott Crispell, a senior at Lake-
Lehman High School, was recently
chosen for the prestigious Who's
Who Among American High School
Students.
Scott is a College Prep student
and recently made the Honor Roll
with a 3.0 average. He intends to
major in Media Communications.
He participated in wrestling
during his freshman through junior
years at Lehman. His baseball
career at Lake-Lehman started as a
freshman and will continue through
his senior year.
Scott has also participated in the
Back Mountain Teener League and
the American Legion League and
hopes to pursue baseball on the
college level.
Scott is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Crispell. They reside at Box
96 E-1, Market Street, Noxen. Other
children include Dara, an eighth
grader at the Lehman Jr. High; and
a foster-brother Mark, a fourth
grader.
Scott is the grandson of Mrs.
DOUBLE WEDDING ANNIVER-
SARY WISHES to Ed and Rita
Lyons, Sterling Avenue, Dallas who
were married Dec. 7, 1961 in
Dec. 9.
Under German law, the Dallas
Borough Police Chief, who was then
in the Army, and his bride had to be
married first by the Burgonmeister
(town mayor) and then have a
church ceremony later. The Lyons
are the parents of two sons Edward
and Timothy.
