Truck overturns
A truck, driven by Michael
Brueckner, of 194 Main St., Dallas,
overturned on Manor Road, Dallas,
on Nov. 28. Brueckner, who was not
seriously injured, was treated at the
scene.
Trucksville firefighters responded
to the scene of the accident.
Action delayed
Action has been delayed on a
request to change the boundaries of
three plots of land in Kingston
Township. The township, supervisors
postponed a decision at. their meet-
ing Nov. 30 and are now waiting for
a document from the county plan-
ning commission.
LThe-document, a plot plan, is a
map of the property submitted to
the county planning commission for
review. The commission then sends
its recommendation on the matter
to the supervisors.
Dale and Dale Co., of Shavertown,
has requested permission to realign
the boundaries of three lots on
Hartford St., Shavertown, where it
wants to build houses.
The supervisors cannot act on the
request until they receive recom-
mendation from the county.
Money discussed
Dallas Township supervisors, at a
public meeting Nov. 30, discussed
ways of spending $68,000 in federal
revenue sharing funds for 1984.
The funds, which include an esti-
mated $27,000 left over from this
year’s revenue sharing funds, may
be used to purchase 1.3 acres of
land for additional municipal park-
ing, a police cruiser and a new
grass mower. The remainder of the
$68,000 comes from an anticipated

The supervisors used approxi-
mately $40,000 in revenue sharing
funds this year to purchase two
trucks.
A final vote on how to spend the
funds and on the township’s 1984
budget is scheduled for Dec. 20.
Garren arrested
Henry Garren Sr., RD 4, Box
311B, Dallas, was arrested Dec. 1 on
charges connected with the sexual
abuse of a 16-year-old girl.
Garren was charged with indecent
assault and corrupting the morals of
a minor, acording to a criminal
complaint filed with District Justice
Leonard Harvey of Dallas.
Garren was arraigned before
Harvey and released after posting
$15,000 bail. A preliminary hearing
is scheduled for Dec. 7 at 1 p.m.

Hearings postponed
Hearings for Alan Lord who is
charged with soliciting a state
policeman to blow up his former
girlfriend’s trailer and shooting at
the trailer himself, have been post-
poned until Dec. 9. Hearings on the
two charges before District Magis-
trates Leonard Harvey and Andrew
Barilla were originally scheduled to
be heard Nov. 23.
The continuance was granted at
the request of Atty. Ettore S. Agal-
ino who is representing Lord. A
resident of 89 Parrish Street, Dallas
and owner of the Back Mountain
Taxi Company, Lord was released
from Luzerne County Prison after
posting $60,000 bail and is back on
the job pending hearings on his
case.
Inmates bound
Two inmates at the State Correc-
tional Institute at Chase have been
bound over for trial in Luzerne
County Court on charges of Indecent
Assault, Criminal Conspiracy, Invol-
untary Deviate Secual Intercourse
and Conspiracy. A Prima Facie
case against inmates Nathanial
Owens and William J. forrest was
ruled by District Magistrate Leon-
ard Harvey following a hearing held
at the prison.
Another charge of Rape lodged
against the pair, who allegedly
attacked another prisoner, was dis-
missed by Magistrate Harvey on the
grounds that “rape has to be done
to a female, not a male.” Arresting
officer was State Trooper Donald
Taylor of the Wyoming Barracks.
Brothers plead guilty
After spending a few days in
Luzerne County Prison, two broth-
ers, Frank and Christopher
Yakowski of Bodle Road, Carverton
pled guilty to Disorderly Conduct
last week. Two other charges of
Simple Assault and Resisting Arrest
were withdrawn at the hearing held
before District Magistrate Earl
Gregory who imposed a fine of $200
plus court costs on the Yakowskis.
The brothers had been arrested at
the family home after police were
called by their mother Louise
Yakowski and requested to remove
them from the premises. responding
was Kingston Township Patrolman
Gary Beisel who was assisted in
quelling the fight by police officers
from Dallas Township and Dallas
Borough.
The brothers had originally been
arraigned before District Magis-
trate Leonard Harvey who commit-
ted them to Luzerne County Prison
in lieu of $5,000 bail set for Frank
Yakowski and $1,500 bail set for —
Theft being investigated
A theft at the Pioneer Avenue
home of Dr. Jay Ochreiter is under
investigation by Dallas Township
Police Chief Carl Miers. The family
was at home when the theft took
place Nov. 30 between the hours of
6:30 and 9:15 in the evening.
Entry was made through an open
garage door with thieves then enter-
ing the adjacent basement of the
home. Stolen were an RCA portable

Robert Cilvik if he is found guilty of
charges lodged against him follow-
ing a two-car accident in Dallas.
The primary charge against
Cilvik, which carries the stiff pen-
alty is Driving While Operators
License Is Suspended or Revoked
For A Previous Conviction of Driv-
ing Under the Influence.
Additional charges filed against
Cilvik of Box 245, Shawanese by
Dallas Township Patrolman Doug-
las Lamoreaux were Underage Con-
sumption of Alcoholic Beverages

Theft is reported
The theft of 12 tapes and a tape
carrying case from her vehicle has
been reported to Dallas Township
Police by Tammy Carroll.
Ms. Carroll’s 1976 Suburu was
