Mr. and Mrs. Philip Ansilio, Sr.,
of Dallas and Hollywood, Fla., will
celebrate ‘their 60th wedding anni-
versary on Nov. 25. They were
married Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25,
1923 in Mt. Carmel Church, Pittston
by the late Rev. Gislan. Their
attendants were Elizabeth Berna-
doni and Joseph Orlando.
Mrs. Ansilio is the former Anna
Orlando, daughter of the late Domi-
nic and Artimisa Orlando of Port
Griffith. Mr. Ansilio is the son of the
late Thomas and Laura Ansilio of

Mr. .and Mrs. Ansilio are the
parents of three children, Laura
Popielarz, Dallas; Philip Jr.,
Dallas; and Thomas, Kingston.
They have seven grandchildren,
Robert Popielarz, Dallas; Nancy
Barnard, Dallas; Terry Ansilio,
Dallas; Thomas Ansilio Jr., Forty
Fort; Lisa Ansilio, Tampa, Fla;
Suzanne Ansilio, State College; and
Timothy, Kingston. They also have
four, great-grandchildren, Laura
Marie and Andrew Popielarz, G.
Matthew and Patrick Barnard.
Mr. and Mrs. Ansilio were in the
fruit and produce business, having
been the founders and owners of the
California Fruit Markets. At one
time, there were four fruit markets
in operation in Wyoming Valley.
Since their retirement from the
fruit markets, Mr. and Mrs. Ansilio
have been associated with the Cali-
fornia Flower Corp., West Pittston
which "is owned and operated by
their sons, Philip Jr. and Thomas,
and their son-in-law, Ted Popielarz.
A family celebration will be held
in honor of the occasion.
