Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cragle, formerly of Mooretown and more recently of the Meadows Apart- ments in Dallas, spent their anni- versary as they had the 48 previous ones - together. Before that time, Mr. and Mrs. Cragle had resided in their one bedroom unit in the Mead- ows Apartments, located directly adjacent to the Nursing Center. The couple was married by Rev. James S. Henry on Sept. 26, 1934 at the Bethesda Congregational Church in Edwardsville. They were blessed with three daughters: Mrs. Nancy Dick, Kingston; Mrs. Lea Newberry, West Nanticoke; and Ms. Martha Cragle, Clarks Summit. They also have seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Cragle was formerly employed at the Luzerne Anthracite Coal Company. He later worked as a well-driller until his health forced him to retire in 1962. Mrs. Cragle worked for 25 years at Natona Mills before her retirement. Under the auspices of the hospital auxiliary, the candystriper program permits area teens to experience hospital life. Opened to youngsters 13 years of age and older, this program has seen significant growth over the past two years.
