Dallas Post
to sponsor
mat clinic
The Dallas Post will sponsor a
wrestling clinic at Lake-Lehman
High School on Sunday, Oct. 23.
Featured speakers for the seminar-
type affair will be the Penn State
Coaching staff. The clinic will start
at 10:30. :
The Post is sponsoring the clinic
for wrestlers from Lake-Lehman,
Dallas, Crestwood and Abington
Heights.
PSU Coach Rich Lorenzo will be
the featured speaker, along with
assistant Coach John Fritz, former
NCAA champ and Hachiro Oishi, a
free-style specialist and assistant
wrestling coach at Penn State Uni-
versity.
Each coach will lecture on his
specialty. At the conclusion, he will
entertain questions from the partici-
pating wrestlers.
Penn State has been the East's
top ranked dual meet team the last
two years winning the Eastern Mat
Poll. The Nittany Lions had a 12-2-1
log last year.
“I'm looking forward to bringing
my staff to the Back Mountain and
lecturing to the high school wres-
tlers from that area,” said Lorenzo.
“A clinic of this sort is good for the
sport and I'm sure we’ll have some
techniques that will benefit the
coaches and wrestlers for the
upcoming season.”
