Planning event .
The 1983 Starlight Ball, a charity
dinner-dance sponsored by the aux-
iliary of the Wilkes-Barre General
Hospital will be held at the Wood-
lands Inn on Saturday, Nov. 19.
The ball, celebrating its 15th year,
is a major means of funding for the
auxiliary. This year’s ball begins
with a cocktail hour at 8 p.m.,
Sherry L.
Sherry L. Goble of Centermore-
land and Brian A. Janosko of Sayre
were united in marriage on ‘Aug. 6
Church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Charles L. Goble of Cen-
termoreland. The bridegroom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. John Janosko,
Jr. of Sayre.
The double-ring ceremony was
performed by the Rev. Donald
Walter assisted by Monsignor
Jordon of Sayre.
Soloist were Gloria Charney
Campbell and Tim Rought. Organist
was Mrs: Arla Charney.
followed by a gourmet dinner. Con-
tinuous dance music will be pro-
vided by the Lee Vincent Orchestra
and Take Four.
Anyone wishing to attend this gala
event may contact Mrs. Robert
Casper or any auxilian. Mrs. Edwin
Lyons is chairman of the event. She
has appointed the following commit-
tee chairmen to assist her in plan-
ning an outstanding evening for all
co-chairman; Mrs. Stephen War-
tella and Mrs. Michael Hudacek,

The bride, given in marriage by
her father, chose her sister, Nancy
Goble as her maid of honor. Brides-
maids were Cyndi Ayers, Brenda
- Rought and Cheryl Foley. Renee
Witkowski was flowergirl.
John Janosko, brother of the
bridegroom was best man. Ushers
were Patrick Janosko, also brother
of the groom, Alan Pugh and Kerry
Grissinger. Brian Goble, brother of
the bride, was ring bearer.
An evening cocktail hour and
reception were held at the V.F.W.
Post Hall in Kingston. A rehearsal
dinner party, hosted by the parents
of the bridegroom, was held at the
Castle Inn, Dallas.
The bride was feted at a shower
given by her attendants. She was
also honored at a brunch shower
hosted by Mrs. John Janosko and
Mrs. Patrick Janosko at Tomasco’s
Country Club, Waverly, N.Y.
The bride. is a graduate of Tunk-
hannock Area Schools and College
Misericordia. She was employed by
Custom Management Corp. as Food
Service Director for their account
with Heritage Nursing Home in
Sayre, and has taken a leave to
(Mon. - Fri.)
complete her Dietitic Internship at
Wilson Hospital, Johnson City, N.Y.
The bridegroom is a graduate of
Sayre Area High School and Penn
State College. He is employed by
IBM Corp. in Owego, N.Y.
Following a wedding trip to the
New Jersey shore, the couple is
residing in Johnson City. N.Y.

George K. Haines, of Sweet
Valley, is scheduled to receive
the 33rd Degree, the highest
honor of Scottish Rite Masonry,
today at ceremonies conducted in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Degree Masons and their wives
were expected from the 15 north--
eastern and midwestern states
