HANDMADE PAPER IMAGES,
an art exhibition, will be on display
in the Wilkes College Sordoni Art
Gallery Aug. 28 through Sept. 25. A
reception to meet the artists will be
given in the Gallery on September
14 from 7-9 p.m.
The Gallery is open to the public,
free of charge, on a year round
basis. Hours are Sunday through
Friday, 1-5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.

THE BACK MOUNTAIN EAST
LA LECHE LEAGUE will begin a
new series of meetings on Tuesday,
Sept. 20. The group will meet at 7:30
p.m. in the home of Mrs. Kenneth
Winkler, Courtdale. Refreshments
will be served after an informal
discussion of Advantages of Breast-
feeding to Mother and Baby.

THE ALZHEIMER'S SUPPORT
GROUP of Northeastern Pennsyl-
vania will have its first support
group meeting for the families of
Alzheimer’s Disease in the Wilkes-
Barre area on Wednesday, Sept. 14,
at 7:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ
Uniting, Market St. and South
Sprague Ave., Kingston. (The
church is one block west of Kingston
Corners across from Wyoming Sem-
inary.) Alzheimer’s and related dis-
eases will be discussed.
The meeting is open to the public
and is free of charge. Additional

WILKES-BARRE GENERAL
HOSPITAL'S cardiac support group
will hold its monthly meeting on
Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. at
Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Dr. Richard Abromowitz, cardiol-
ogist, will discuss factors associated
with heart attacks. A group discus-

THE LAKE-LEHMAN BOOSTER

ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL of
East Dallas United Methodist

grounds. The festival will include
booths of homemade items,

Theater
“TINTYPES,” the last show of
the season, at Shawnee Playhouse,
will run until the end of October.
The cabaret Americana revue is a
nostalgic look into American musi-
cal history with music from 1891
through 1920 with an emphasis on
the turn of the century.
