Jan and her husband, Atty. Merton Jones, who have been Back Mountain residents for over 20 years, are the parents of three. Morgan and Becky Jones have graduated from college now and-12-year old Matthew will be starting in the Dallas Junior High this fall. Through the years when her children were growing up, Jan was always a willing volunteer being involved in such activities as Women of Rotary, Dallas Junior Womens Club, Meals-on-Wheels, the Library Auction and the Junior League where she worked on establishing the original Tel-Med system.
