Pit Band
The Holy Trinity Orchestra, also known as a Pit Band, was organized and directed by the late
Professor John P. Bieley. Prof. Bieley was also organist and choir master from 1917 to 1957, 40
years. He also taught until 1928. Shown here are members of the band. From left, Steve Pavco

of Denver, Colo. Verhanovitz is a
Swoyersville native.
The Verhanovitz’ are the par-
