Lupinsky Sworn In Richard Lupinsky of Main St., Swoyersville was recently sworn in as a board member of the Swoyersville Planning Commission by Chairman Paul Bieley at the recent council meeting with Michael Emershaw presiding. The meeting was held at the Swoyersville Municipal Building. Joseph Sieminski of Creek St., Swoyersville will be sworn in as a board member at the next council meeting, scheduled for Aug. 1. Victory The Invaders kept up their winning ways as they took a 3-0 win over the Express in the Swoyers- ville Pool League. George Nemetz led the way for the Invaders with 14 balls and one win, Peter Cwalina Jr. made three and a win, and Jim Sarti made six and one win. For the Express, Dave Check and Bob Gaydos made eight balls apiece. Tom and Jim Cruthers were blanked out. The Generals tied the Stars® for second spot as they whipped the Stars by a 3-0 score. Worler Worlin- sky showed his stuff as he made 21 balls and won the - three games. Chooch Gon- glefski had an off night but it didn’t matter as the Worler had a hot night. Chooch made one ball. For the Stars, Pete Cwalina Sr. made 18 ‘balls and Andy Ference had two balls made. The Blitz lost the first game to the Bandits but came back strong to win the next two and a 2-1 win. John Urban was the "hot shooter with 15 balls made and two wins. Steve Adam- chak Jr. made two balls. For the Bandits, Scoop Gula made 16 balls and had a win and Cutter Kar- asinski made nine balls.
