Buses will leave the Fire House on Scott St., Swoy- ersville at 9 a.m. -0- The first half of the Swoyersville Major Little League ended in a three-way tie with Luzerne Bank, Kiwanis Club and CWV Post 1601 tying for first place. They will play it off at the end of the second half. So far in the second half, Luzerne Bank is leading with a 5-0 record with Cicero’s behind them with a 4 2 record. The All Star team will be picked next week and they will begin in a week or so playing different bor- oughs in the playoffs. In the Minor League it looks like Bednarski’s will go all the way as they took the first half and are now leading in the second half. -0- New officers for the Dana Street Elementary Center PTO of Forty Fort are Sue Mason, president, Linda Burke, vice-president, Flo Dougherty, secretary and Carol Urban, treasurer. -O- In the Luzerne-Courtdale-Pringle first half championship with a 6-0 record. JOSEPH HUDICK, 25 Barber St., Swoyersville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniver- sary Saturday. They were wed on July 9, 1923 at the Holy Trinity Church by the late Rev. John A. Karnish. Mrs. Hudick is the former Mary Kovalick of Swoyers- ville. The Hudicks are the parents of four children, Mrs. Marie Dziadosz of Swoyersville; Anne, at home; Mrs. Helen Stesney, Florida; and Joseph Jr., Centermore- land. They also have four grandchildren, Robert and Ronald Dziadosz and Donna Hudick. Mr. Hudick is a retired miner and former policeman of Swoyersville. ’ LO: MR. AND MRS. He assisted in two major research projects dealing with. diabetes and virus isolation during his senior year. He was also a teacher’s aide.
