They are Tony Ostrosky of Simpson Street. Tony can well be remembered as, a terrific baseball player in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. He was a hard nose ball player and well respected. He and his late wife raised a fine family. Joe Kolojejchick will be sadly missed as he was always there to cheer someone up with his wit. Joe can well be remem- bered as one of the top men in the former min- strels that were directed by the late Val Gavlick. He always had everyone rolling in the isles. Here’s a guy that was always willing to lend a hand to anyone. He and hise wife, the former Helen Tribus raised two fine sons. Swoyersvilie friend in John Sekerah, who formerly resided in Forty Fort and for the past 20 years in West Wyoming. and his wife" Ann were frequent visitors to Swoy- ersville and were well liked by everyone. Demp- sey as he was well known by, was a terrific baseball football and basketball player in his younger days a good battler. He aR lost a dear ‘Dempsey’ basketball referees around as the late Ed Chiamplll always picked him for the playoffs, not because he knew Dempsey but he knew that Dempsey would give both teams a fair shake. In later life, Demp- sey was a top bowler, dart shooter and pool player. He always had a nice word for everyone. He and Ann raised a daughter Mrs. Doris Materaczo. All will be missed sadly and we send our condol- ences to all of the above families: “0: The Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Church, Father, Son and Daughter Breakfast will be held on Sunday, June 12 after the 8 a.m. Mass in the Church Hall on Shoemaker Street, Swoyersville. -0- Co-chairmen Dick Eva-: noski and Turp Kovalick have announced that the Open plans have been fin- alized.
