News Briefs
Ninety-three Oberlin College students completed their
degree requirements in the interval hetween the 1982
and 1983 Commencement kKxercises.
Among them was Margaret A. Thom, daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. William T. Thom, II, 380 Pioneer Ave,
Dallas, who received a bachelor of Arts Degree in
sociology-anthropology. Margaret was co-editor of Oher-
op.

As always the Honor Roll in the center of Dallas was
beautifully planted for Memorial Day thanks to. the
efforts of the Dallas Borough Road Department.

District Magistrate Leonard Harvey and his wife
Marion of Woodlawn Avenue, Dallas are on a fishing
trip to Canada and also plan to visit upstate New York.
Magistrate Harvey’s office in the Back Mountain
Professional Building is open for business with the
District 3-8 court under the jurisdiction of District
Magistrate John Hopkins whose office is in the Borough
Buiklding on Main Street in IKdwardsville.

If you have a dilapidated wooden structure on your
property and you live in Kingston Township, you are in
luck, you can have it removed al no cost. For the past
three years barns, outhouses, sheds and garages have
been torn down and hauled away for free under a Vector
Control Grant. Applications are presently being taken at
the Kingston Township Municipal Building subject to
“review by the Department of Environmental Resources.

Cross Mountain View Guest Home, Sweet Valley, has
been fully licensed to operate a personal care boarding
hom%, by the Department of Public Welfare, Secretary
Walter W. Cohen announced today.
Full licenses are issued only to boarding home
operators who meet 100 percent of the state standards.
Provisional licenses are available for operators who are
in the process of correcting deficiencies.
To date, 721 personal care hoarding homes have heen
licensed hy the Department. Of that number; 569 have
received regular licenses and 152, provisional licenses.

Noxen Notes
Plans for the annual Daily Vacation Bible School at
the Kunkle United Methodist Church are being com-
pleted. The.school this year will he held June 13-17 from

Supervisors of Noxen Township will meet ‘Tuesday
evening at 7 in the Noxen Community huilding with
hoard chairman Harold Bennett presiding.
Anna Weaver, who observed her 94th birthday anni-
versary, was honored at an open house at the United
Methodist Church at Kunkle on Sunday afternoon.
Education committee of Kunkle United Methodist

Ladies Society of. St. Luke's Church is completing
plans for a benefit flea market and hake sale to be held
Saturday, June 25; from 10 to 4. A limited number of
table spaces are available. Friends or members plan-
ning to donate articles or baked goods for the hake sale
and flea market are asked to contact Mrs. Elsie Parrish
or Mrs. Mary Galka.
The annual Dailey Vacation Bible School at St. Luke's
Lutheran Church will he held from June 20 through June
30 from 6:30 to 8:30 evenings. Sunday School teachers
are in charge of registration.
Supervisors of Monroe Township will meet Monday
