On Tuesday, May 18 the Lake-Noxen Elementary School held a regular unit meeting in the multi-pur- pose room at the school. The meeting was called to order by President Jan Carey and minutes from the last meeting were read and approved. The trea- surer’s report was given and also the budget and finance report. New business discussed Kunkle showed the audi- ence the new color video camera which was pur- chased by the P.T.A. After the meeting, the audience enjoyed the play “The Greatest Show on Earth” performed by the first, fourth and fifth grades. The P.T.A. would like to thank parents, teachers, students and administra- tion for making this a very included: winners from Balloon Day, George Sibley, first returned; Billie Jo Simons, closest and Ann Marie Barber, farthest. Each student will receive a $10 gift from Valentines. Field day was held on May 27. Last day of school festivities will be June 7. The new slate of officers was read and approved. The new officers will be President, Paulette Zer- foss; Vice President, Laurie Finnegan; Corre- sponding Secretary, Elaine Mack; Treasurer, Barbara Rogers; Recording Secre- tary, Rita Stefanowicz. The new officers were installed by Principal Robert Kunkle. Video Course Slated The Academic Services Division of Luzerne County Community College has announced a new course listing for the upcoming summer session scheduled to begin in June. Basic ' Video Production, designed to help students integrate television as a useful tool in a program of study, will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6:15 to 8:45, beginning June 7 through Aug. 11. As a floating elective, this course will enable stu- dents within a variety of programs to. gain experi- ence in the television field.
