Columbus, OH.
To be eligible for the
Dean’s List, students must
have at least a 3.0 grade
point average (out of a
possible 4.0) in the last
term of study. Kern, a
student in the Computer
Science for Business pro-
gram, has a 3.4 GPA.
Sherry L. Goble, daugh-
ter of Charles and Mary
Ann Goble, Centermore-
land, was recently selected
an appointee for the 1984
Dietetic Internship Class
to begin this September at
Wilson Hospital, Johnson
City, N.Y.
Sherry was one of six
selected from over 70
applicants. She graduated
from Tunkhannock Area
High School and College
Misericordia Class of ’82
with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Foods and Nutri-
tion, -and is presently
attending Marywood - Col-
lege, Scranton, pursuing
her Masters Degree.
Sherry will be taking a
leave of absence from
Custom Management Cor-
poration whom she joined
upon graduation as Food
Service Director for their
account with the Heritage
Nursing Center, Athens,
Pa.

at Fort Bragg, N.C.
Kelly, a tracked-vehicle
mechanic with the 1st
Corps Support Command,

He is a 1975 graduate of

Dallas, was a member of
the last graduation class of
Clarion State College,
receiving a diploma during
commencement ceremo-
nies held Sunday, May 15.
Reese, a management
major at Clarion, was one
of 747 students to receive
diplomas, including 658
bachelor’s degrees, 47
associate’s and 42
master’s.
Clarion State College

Brenda Long, a senior at
Lock Haven State College
has received a high honor
in Special Education for
her Outstanding Field
Experience during her
professional semester and

David Anderson presented
her with her award at the
May 4 Convocation in Rob-
inson Hall at the college.
Ms. Long graduated
May 21 and in June will
start her teaching career
at The Woods Schools in
Langhorne, a private insti-
tution for mentally and
physically handicapped.
She is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. William Long, 62
Hickory Street, Trucks-
ville.
Mark Kravits, son of Ms.
Matthew Kravits of Road
6, Box 116, Dallas, has
been named to the Presi-
dent’s List at the Ohio
Institute of Technology in
Columbus, OH.
To be eligible for the
honor, students must have
at least a 3.5 grade point
average (out of a possible
4.0) in their fourth term of
study. Kravits, a student
in the Computer Science
for Business program, has
a 3.5 GPA.

the appointment of Irvin
R. Zelt as General Sales
Manager. Zelt will have
responsibility over all
areas of the company’s
sales operation.
A native of Philadelphia,
Zelt started his broadcast
career as an air personal-
ity on WRHA Radio at the
University of Adkron in
1966. In 1973, he returned
WNAR Radio in Norris-
town as an account execu-
tive, 'additionally produc-
ing public service and
commercial copy. In 1975
he moved to KYW Newsra-
dio as an account execu-
tive and by August 1977
was promoted to. Group
W’s national rep firm in
New York (RAR), where
he also covered the Phila
delphia, Baltimore an
Washington Markets. In
1979 Zelt returned to Phila-
delphia as MecGavren-
Guild’s regional manager,
and was responsible for
expanding that national
rep firm’s office, serving
the Middle Atlantic states.
In 1981 he became the
General Sales Manger of
EAZY 101 Radio in Phila-
delphia.
Zelt will reside at Sutton
Hills in the Back Mountain
area with is wife Barbara
and their 1's year old
daughter, Toby.
