Students pre- pared table decorations and presented a program of songs and finger-play for their mothers. After a lunch, which included cookies decorated by the children, each mother received a plant. The school will close on Student Lake-Noxen sixth grad- ers traveled to New York last week on. their class trip. While there, the stu- dents visited Central Park and the Museum of Natu- ral History, where they had lunch. A bus sight-seeing tour followed. Due to rain, the students could not leave May 19 for summer vaca- tion. Applications are now being taken for the Fall semester. Trinity Nursery School is located in the Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Church Street, Dallas. For further information Office at 675-3131. Tour the bus, but were still able to see the World Trade Center, the Empire State Building, Paramount Stu- dios and many other high- lights. A tour of St. Pat- rick’s Cathedral and the United Nations Building were also part of the trip. The class came home tired, but happy after a full and exciting day. In the Ladies Country League Daring’s Market took three games from G.H. Harris Associates to break into the high scor- ing. A.F. Roan Inc. copped three from Grotto Pizza with 465 high series for 10 girls. Peg Williams spilled pins for 180 to lead the Castlettes in taking an even split from Fashion Vending. M. Culver added 175 to aid in the even division. Dallas Nursery earned three and one half from Roberts Oil in the George Shupp League paced by F. Adams 224 (627) and N. Stredny’s 219 (621). C. Glasser contributed 555. J. Ide scattered pins for 559, B. Varner toppled them for 547 and L. Yankowski rolled 540 to lead Disque Funeral Home to three games over Harris Asso- ciates. A. Wendel slammed the pins for 288 (618) and G. Harris tum- bled them for 557 for the ~ Harris men. S. Bonomo gave 527. J. Strazdus hit _ the pins for 601 and Glenn Mazuer toppled them for 560 for Fino’s Pharmacy who copped three points from Gino’s Shoe Store. R. Mekeel rolled 219 (544) and K. Youngblood scat- tered pins for 597 to aid the cause. C. Kazokas spilled the pins for 217 (611) for the shoe dealer and B. Cyphers posted 554. J. Curtis rolled '527. R. Barr’s 576 was enough to lead the Endless Mountain men to three points over Stanton TV. The TV team was paced by H. Garris’ 551 and J. Maculis (537). In the Idetown Compact League Firebirds took all from the Cimmarons with no one able to find the strike range. J. Roan wal- loped pins for 565 to lead the Aries in taking four from the LaBarons by for- feit. The Camaros took three points from the Capris despite C. Wil- liams’ rolling 518 for the losing five. H. Heidel scat- tered wood for 520 to aid the Omegas in blanking the Lynx. D. Schooley gave the Lynx 172-178. Citations copped three from the Mustangs with no high games to speak of. B. Moore rolled 510 for the Mustangs.In a roll-off for the league championship in the Imperialette League, Lombardo Bakery took the Jean Shop by 39 pins to win the team trophy for the bakery owner. year was taken by the Jean Shop with 2234.
