Swoyersville came
‘through the recent rain
rm that we had last
sections that gave Street
Commissioner Socky
Saxon and his crew a little
trouble were Shoemaker
and Warsaw Streets
where the water came
down from the mountains
and brought debris down
Shoemaker and Poland
Streets.
One thing that is a
pleasure is that we don’t
see any puadles like we
use to a few years ago,
expecially on Bohac St.,
Owen St., Hughes St.,
Sunday St. near Hazle and
Grace Sts., Watkins near
McHale, and the corner of
Church and Dana Sts. and
Slocum and Church, near
the Hose House on Slocum
St., Green St., White and
Shoemaker Sts. and a few
more. Our town has really
come on.
-0-
snow storm hit us on
Tuesday and the street
depeartment did a fine
job. Most of our residents
put their ‘snow blowers
away and had to get them
back out. But low and
behold, the 6 or 8 inches
that we did get melted
during the rest of the day.
We were prepared,-
though.

Residents of
Swyoyersville are asked
to tie their dogs up as
many have been running
loose and jumping mostly
on women. Chief William
Dorman warns any dog
owner who is responsible
will be prosecuted. He
also said that with spring
coming, if it ever will,
residents will begin
planting their gardens
and this is another reason
® keeping the dogs. tied.
