cookie cutters, model
trains and old mining
tools, to Avon bottle
replica cars, stamps and

In addition to the
organization’s members,
there will be displays by
many area collectors. A
group of 30 dolls owned by
Jean Hotko of Wilkes-
Barre will include some of
the most beautiful of the
French and German
antique bisque
reproductions, including
Jumeau, Brue, Hand-
werck, A.T. Merilee and
Eyelo. More than 300
silver souvenir spoons
acquired over a long
period of time by Lois
Hughes of Dallas will
share the spotlight with
her collection of Lincoln
memorabilia.
“Shells from the Seven
Seas” and a fine collec-
tion of fossils will be of-
fered by Robbie Moore of

came with her French
ancestry, along with
calling cards, antique
glass and china make up
the display of Florence
Hayes.
An outstanding colletion
of life-sized, carved song
our local species--will be
shown by Blanche
Thomspson of Dallas.
Another group of antique
dolls, both large and
small, and a group of
slippers and shoes in
glass, metal, ceramic and
crochet will be shown by
Louise Scrimgeour of
West Pittston... An ap-
pealing group of ap-
proximately 50 clowns in
all sizes and colors in
papier-mache, ‘ceramic,
needlepoint, china and
stuffed clowns will be
displayed by Marian
Kellow, also ‘of West
Pittston.
A set of antique farm
implements and equip
ment that includes a 15-
inch, hand-carved
haywagon pulled by two
oxen and flanked by three
handcarved jointed
peasant figures is in sharp
contrast to the adjoining
display of old fishermen
and seamen in settings by
Maine’s well-known
Jeannie Makar. Tickets
for the exhibit may be
purchased from any
Collectors’ Group
member or at the door.
Plans are being fur-
thered for the 31st annual
Antique Show and Sale to
be held by the Prince of
Peace churchwomen at
the parish house, Main
Street, Dallas, on
Tuesday and Wednesdy,
May 3 and 4 from 11 a.m.
to 9 p.m.

Meet
The Dallas: Women of
Kiwanis will meet on
Wednesday, April 27 at
the Irem Temple Country
Club,
Plans are to be finalized
for the upcoming salad
luncheon on May 18.
The program for the
evening will include a
speaker from the
Ameican Cancer Society.
This program should
prove very interesting
and informative to the
ladies.
Any member who has
not turned in her recipe
for the cookbook is asked
todo so at this time. The
booklet will be ready in
time for the salad lun-
cheon and will be
available for a nominal
fee.
