¥ £ BY JOAN KINGSBURY Each year at Easter candy eggs is a tradition uses recipes that have been in her family for two generations. How could they resist delicious coconut cream eggs or rich but- tercream eggs? Just one word of caution, better Easter or they might not last until the holiday. 2 boxes 10 x sugar 2 egg whites, stiffly Mix first four ingredients together and form into an egg shape. Dip in chocolate. (recipe follows) BUTTER CREAM EASTER EGGS 5 1b. butter 8 oz. cream cheese 3 boxes 10 x sugar 1 t. vanilla Cream butter and cream cheese together. Add vanilla. Gradually blend in sugar. Cool for at least one hour. Shape into ovals for Easter eggs. Return to the refrigerator before coating. Dip eggs in chocolate, place on wax paper until chocolate is firm. When chocolate is firm, decorate as desired. CHOCOLATE COATING 8 oz. semi-sweet chocolate 2 in. square parafin wax 1 T. butter Melt ingredients overdf) hot water. Dip each cooled piece of candy into chocolate (use a fork or skewer). Place on waxed paper covered cake rack until cooled and chocolate is firm. Refrigerate again. Keep chocolate warm enough to coat quickly. One bag of coconut or 2 cup peanut butter may be added for flavoring, if desired. Makes about 100 eggs (small). Recipe may be cut in half for 50 eggs. Decorate if desired. Several local students of modeling at the Wyoming Valley Gym- nastics Center recently participated in a spring fashion show at the Wyoming Valley Mall. Clothing for the affair was furnished by Starks. The girls learned their modeling skills from Jean M. Orleski, director and modeling instructor for the Wyoming Valley Gymnastic Center.
