PAGE FOURTEEN OFF TO THE REGIONALS: Eight members of the Lake- Lehman High School Band have been chosen to par- ticipate in the Region IV Band Festival to be held at Mount Carmel Area Junior and Senior High School on March 23-26. Conducting this year’s festival will be Dr. Daniel DiCicco from Indiana State University. Host director is Samuel Rovito, John Miliauskas is director of Lake-Lehman Junior High School students are selling Wisconsin cheddar cheese and sausage throughout the week of March 23-30. The sale is a fund-raising project for the PTSA. Choices include a decorative stoneware crock with spreadable cheddar cheese or refill containers in four delicious flavors. There are also cheddar cheese party logs rolled in almonds in regular or onion flavor. Ready-to-eat hickory smoked beef summer sausages complement the cheese selection. These make great snacks and en- tertaining foods, or can be .. used as gifts. On Wednesday, April 6 at 7 p.m. the PTSA will sponsor a science fair in . the junior high school shoproom. Projects may be done on any phase of ‘science, but must be - completed by the . students. Prizes will be . awarded and refresh- Theresa ments served in the cafeteria, The public is invited. The regular April meeting of the PTSA will be held on Monday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m. An arts and crafts show will be featured, consisting of art projects, needlework, photography and hand- craft projects. All projects must be com- pleted by the par- ticipating students. Entry forms must be attached. These may be picked up in the junior high office or the book store. Deadline for entry is Thursday, April 14. PTSA will be con- ducting a spring bulb planting program to help beautify the school grounds. Lunchtime doughnut sales will help defray the cost of the bulbs. PTSA, the Parent Teacher Student Association, works for the betterment of the students, sales and community.
