The March meeting of the Northeastern Pennsylvania
Club of Printing House Craftsmen will be held Thursday,
March 17, at the Carriage Stop Inn, Route 115, Wilkes-
Barre beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The speaker will be Mike Esposito of 3-M. Non-

Discussion Set
The Exeter-Wyoming Area Support Group will meet on
Thursday, March 17, at 8 p.m. in St. Cecilia’s Parish
Center, Wyoming Avenue, Exeter.
Rev. Joseph Rauscher, director of the Family Life
Bureau and moderator of the group will lead a discussion
on the topic of “Being Single Again—-A Growing
Experience.”
Support Groups for the Separated and Divorced are
sponsored by the Family Life Bureau of the Diocese of
Scranton. The monthly meetings are open to the
separated and divorced who are seeking the mutual
encouragement of others who must deal with the
challenges of separation and divorce.
Pressure Screening
The Department of Health will hold a free blood
pressure screening program at the Penn State-Wilkes-
Barre Campus at Lehman on Friday, March 18, from 11
am. to 2:30 p.m. It will be held in the Laboratory
Building and is open to the public.

The annual ham and cabbage dinner sponsored by the
Dallas American Legion Auxiliary, Post 672, will be

way, Dallas. Serving will be from 5 to 8 p.m.
Music for dancing will be from 9 to 1 p.m. Tickets will

Auction at Temple
The Sisterhood of Temple B'nai B'rith of Kingston w
haveanauction at the Temple on Saturday, March 19 atv
p.m.
Many exciting items have been donated, as well as
vital professional services. The highlight of the evening
will b an original, autographed photo of Picasso.
Also offered for bidding will be trips to hotels and
resorts; dental, medical and legal services; dinners at
local restaurants; lots of gift certificates from nearby
merchants, and hundreds more unique and desirable
items.
This auction is open to the public and refreshments will
be served. Numerous door prizes wil Ibe awarded every
hour. There is a $3 admission chargeand all proceeds are
tax deductible and will benefit the Sisterhood, who in
turn provide the Temple with necessary items and
services. Well-known auctioneer Jeff Rubel will conduct
the auction and bidding.

Band Concert
The famous Notre Dame Band will appear in concert,
Saturday, March 19, at King’s College Gymnasium at
7:30 p.m. Tickets areon sale at: King’s College, from Sue
Cromack, student affairs counselor; Bishop Hoban High
School from Ed Richards, band director; Joe Nardone’s
Gallery of Sound, all locations; Diamond's Candy Shop,
East Broad Street, Nanticoke; East End Live Poultry
Market, Scott Street, Wilkes-Barre; Peking Chef
Restaurant, Public Square.
Tickets are $4 for adults, $2 for students. Children
under six admitted free of charge. Tickets will be avail-
able at the door while they last. This event is being
sponsored by the Fighting Irish Club of Wilkes-Barre.
Craft Boutique
The biggest Newcomer's event of the year will take
place on Saturday, March 19, at College Misericordia.
The spring craft boutique, hosting a variety of local
craftsmen and their wares, will be held in the Kennedy
Lounge of Merrick Hall from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The
public is cordially invited to attend and enjoy the many
offerings of the Boutique including baked goods, stained
glass, dolls, quilts, woodcrafts, porcelain and more. A
raffle will also be included in the fun as well as a
beverage concession.
The Newcomer's Club is both a social and service
organization for new residents of the Wyoming Valley.

Plan Coin Show
The Scranton Coin Club will present its 2ist Annual
Coin Show on Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20,
from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Scranton.
Thirty-two dealers will be available to buy, sell or trade
U.S. and foreign coins, currency, tokens, gold and silver.
Admission is free.
‘1933 Revisited’
In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Wilkes
College, the Sordoni Art Gallery is presenting a major
exhibition with the theme, ‘1933 Revisited”’.
The public opening of the exhibition will be on Sunday,
March 20, and it will remain in the Gallery until April 23.
Mary Circle
The Mary Circle of the Shavertown United Methodist
Church will meet on Monday, March 21, at 8 p.m., in the
Memorial Lounge. An Easter program is being planned
by Eleanor Olenick and Jean Chadwick.
Hostesses for the evening are Elaine Bearley, Elsie
Williamson and Mayetta Roberts.
It promises to be an evening of inspiration and
fellowship.

Colwell Class of Dallas UM.E. Church will meet
Tuesday, March 22, 7:30 p.m., at the home of Mrs. James

Pressure Screening
Nesbit Memorial Hospital, Kingston will offer a free
blood pressure screening Wednesday, March 23 at the
Back Mountain Medical Center, Lehman-Dallas.
Screenings are conducted from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Training Sessions
A series of training sessions for individuals interested
in joining the Domestic Violence Service Center’s
Speakers Bureau wil begin on Wednesday, March 23, at 7
p.m., at Wilkes College.
The intensive workshops will focus on the causes and
consequences of domestic violence, its prevalence in
society, and on the services previded to area victims by
the Domestic Violence Service Center.
Individuals interested in participating in the six-week
training course should contact Carol Hussa at 823-6799 by
March 16.
Parenting Series |
The Wyoming Valley Family Practice Residency
Program will present a series of lectures on parenting
issues at the Nesbitt Medical Arts Building, 534 Wyoming
Ave., Kingston, starting on March 23 at 7 p.m. and
running every Wednesday evening thereafter for a total
of six weeks.
Such topics as Normal Baby and Toddlers, Child
Safety, Nutrition, and Emotional Affects of Parenting
will be presented by physicians, nurses and a
psychologist. These sessions are designed for parentagy,
grandparents, babysitters, and anyone interested iz”
helping a parent and child have a happy and healthy life.
Babysitting services will be available.

Eban to Visit
The Jewish Community Center in Wilkes-Barre and
Wilkes College are finalizing plans which will bring the
Honorable Abba Eban, Israeli diplomat, political leader
and scholar, to lecture at Wilkes on March 23.
The lecture, which is open to the public at no charge,
will take place in the College Gymnasium on South
Franklin Street, beginning at 8 p.m.
Outdoors Expo
A “Fishing and Boating Expo’ will be held March 23
through March 27 at the Wyoming Valley Mall, Wilkes-
Barre. Exhibits and demonstrations include: fly tying,
rod building, how to fillet, fishing techniques, taxidermy
tips, ice fishing technigques, casting practice, fisheries
management, fish identification, reptile exhibit and
boating information. Public is invited. Admission is free.
Noxen Sales
There will be a bake sale, Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m, -
4 p.m. at the Noxen United Methodist Church. Lunch wig
