Yow Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wyda of Vernon have announced the engage- ment and approaching marriage of their daughter, Mary Sue, to Scott Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carmon Robinson of Mehoopany. Miss Wyda is a graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School and is Scott Robinson employed by Nancy Fashions of Noxen. Mr. Robinson graduated in 1975 while serving with the United States Army at Fort Knox, Ky., and is employed at Horlacher and Sherwood in Tunk- hannock. A summer wedding is planned. Hospice Dallas Women of Rotary held their monthly dinner meeting recently at Irem Temple Country Club Clown Alley. Mrs. Marsha Landis presided. Reports were given concerning the club welfare projects and wheel chair services. Wheelchairs are loaned at no charge to persons with a need. Other patient care equipment include walkers and crutches and are available at the home of Rotary Ann Mary Ann Strom, Lake Street, Dallas. Speaker for the evening was Rev. William Ken- nard of Harveys Lake and also pastor at Alderson and Evans Falls United Methodist Church. He presented slides and spoke on the services of Hospice St. John. Hospice St. John is a group of persons, who provide care for terminally ill persons and their families in their own homes. Hospice St. John started as a branch of the Lutheran Welfare Ser- vices which began locally in 1978 with the majority of people volunteering spiritual, social and medical care. Their head- quarters are now at 383 Wyoming Ave., Kingston. The next meeting of the Dallas Rotary Women League reorganizes Swoyersville Men’s Softball Leagues will reorganize at a meeting to be held Feb. 16 at 7 in the Municipal Building. At this time rosters will be distributed, fees discussed and league rules interpreted. The leagues are open to area B, D and D teams.
